North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals (NCSHP) is hiring for the following positions.  

The North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals (NCSHP) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit statewide organization whose mission is to promote education among Hispanic youth in North Carolina.  NCSHP concentrates on the educational needs of Hispanic students.  The intent of NCSHP is to develop and secure educational opportunities to improve Hispanic youth’s success and school performance.  The main area of coverage of NCSHP’s activities is the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). CALL FOR PROPOSALS – Web Designer / Web Developer

NCSHP seeks professional services for web designer/web developer. NCSHP’s office is located in Cary, NC. View the complete Web Designer/Web Developer Job Description.

Projected Scope of Services:

  • Assess current website capability, identify weaknesses and maximize performance of website;
  • Assess website design, functionality, and front-end / back-end development needs;
  • Translate programs content into an updated, functional website;
  • Re-design Website & Transfer Content;
  • Make changes to site and update current information on web pages, as directed by NCSHP Director;
  • Support and update current WordPress infrastructure, as well as develop new technologies;
  • Develop new web applications and portal;
  • Implement textual and graphical web content; and
  • Train NCSHP staff on website trouble shooting, and maintenance.

NCSHP PROGRAM COORDINATOR – Temporary/Contracted Position

The Program Coordinator is a grant-based position for a 10-12 month period. The NCSHP is seeking a mission-driven professional to provide leadership on three areas of overall program operations: Fundraising/Membership, Community Outreach and Engagement with STEM Education, and Operational Support. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate major or two year degree in related field;
  • Bilingual/bicultural Spanish and English, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages;
  • Self-starter with a dynamic, out-going personality;
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, and excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task; work independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent and engaging writing skills, impeccable editing and proofreading skills;
  • A commitment to professional ethics and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and databases; and
  • Experience working with diverse populations from varied social and economic backgrounds.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in non-profit management;
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in development and fundraising;
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Social Media, IContact Marketing tool and/or Exceed Donor Tracking Software;

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING INTERN – Paid Internship

The Communications and Marketing Intern is a grant-based position for a 10-12 month period. Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or Business; junior or senior level student is preferred;
  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher), Canva, IContact, and major social media platforms;
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to conduct basic research;
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills;
  • A commitment to professional ethics and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work individually and in a team environment; and
  • Punctuality and dependability.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
