NCSHP Summer Celebration – Event Recap

NCSHP Summer Celebration

FullSizeRender (5)On Saturday, July 16th, NCSHP members gathered at North Cary Park for a time of celebration. This spring the NCSHP has been involved in many initiatives and events supporting Hispanic education. Some of the highlights include: The Hispanic Educational Summit, Fiesta for Education, The ¡Gradúate! Program, and Ritmo Latino.

Amidst plenty of networking and fellowship, the NCSHP celebrated its members and volunteers. As NCSHP President, Marco Zarate said, “It’s only through people like you, supporting our mission, that we are able to do any of this.” To add to this special day, all attendees were entered into a raffle to win one of several prizes given away.

The celebratory spirit was not forgotten as individuals brought desserts from their native country. This turned out to be quite a spread as over 10 countries were represented. There was food aplenty as 5 Hispanic restaurants all donated food for the occasion. A pinata was also donated and both young and old took part in the smashing of the pinata.

The NCSHP is so thankful for its members; their commitment to education and their giving spirits are unparalleled. Thank you for 17 incredible years! Hope to see you next time! #QueremosSerMil
