II Día de la Ciencia y la Tecnología Presented by El Consulado General de Méxio en Raleigh y el Capítulo Raliegh de la Red Global MX
The 2nd annual Día de la Ciencia y la Tecnología will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event will be held at the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh, 431 Raleigh View Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Volunteer roles for this event include interacting with families and manning the NCSHP booth.
Fiesta for Education! Presented by Jóvenes para Ayudar
Fiesta for education is an event presented by Jóvenes para Ayudar, a nonprofit organization for students interested in getting involved in the Hispanic community. The Fiesta for Education is an awareness event held each spring to promote Hispanic education and raise funds for scholarships in a show of peer support for graduating seniors. In the past two years, they have raised over $6,000 for education.
The Fiesta will be on May 13 during the early to mid-afternoon. Volunteer roles for this event include interacting with students and manning the NCSHP booth. More details on this event to come!
Ritmo Latino Festival Presented by Diamante
Ritmo Latino Festival is an event presented by Diamante INC, is an organization dedicated to the preservation, development, and promotion of the culture, heritage, and artistic expressions of the diverse Latino/Hispanic population in North Carolina. Ritmo Latino is a free family festival that showcases Latino music, dance and arts. The festival includes live music, vendors, artists, Latin foods, dance lessons for adults and activities for children.
The Festival will be on May 13 from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The event will be held in downtown Cary at: 316 N. Academy St., Cary, NC 27513. Volunteer roles for this event include interacting with families and manning the NCSHP booth.
